Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails to join our growing engineering team. You’ll design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems that power Shuru’s products and client solutions. This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and is passionate about writing clean, efficient, and reliable code.- Lead the creation, development, and implementation of critical system design changes, new features, and enhancements
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following development standards and best practices.
- Partner with Product Managers, QA, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Conduct reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
- Continuously improve product quality, performance, and security through design and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term fixes that improve system resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of Exp in Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services design.
- Hands-on experience in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
