Contract Document Review Attorney (Remote | 1099)

Level Legal is seeking highly skilled, U.S.-licensed, contract attorneys to provide services on remote document review projects. This is a project-based, 1099 contract role that supports law firms and corporate customers in litigation, audits, and investigations. You bring extensive experience in reviewing documents for relevance, privilege, confidentiality, and issue tagging while applying project-specific guidelines in a fast-paced, collaborative review environment. • Role: Contract Document Review Attorney, 1099.
• Location: Fully remote, but must reside in the U.S., and all services must be provided from within one of the 50 states or Washington, DC.
• License Required: Active U.S. law license in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction).
• Contracted Payment Rate: $28/hour (flat rate).
• Typical Project Lengths: Short-term projects, generally two to eight weeks. But project lengths will vary.
• Typical Project Hours: Projects require a minimum of 40 hours during the workweek. Projects may require additional hours or work on weekends.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. law license in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written review protocols.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Prior document review experience required.

Technology Requirements

• High-speed internet access in a private home office.
• Computer:
• Windows 10 PC (or newer) computers, or
• MacBooks with macOS 12.0 or later.
• Mobile Devices (used for Multi-Factor Authentication only):
• Android 10+ or iOS 14.0+
• Headset and webcam for video meetings.
• Tablets are not supported for review but can be used for Multi-Factor Authentication.
