Systems Engineer
Booz Allen Hamilton is a consulting firm that provides a range of services to government and commercial clients. They are seeking a Systems Engineer to design, test, and deploy complex architectures, while ensuring the security and integrity of information systems through rigorous testing and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and deploy architectures that include VMWare ESXi infrastructure, windows domains, and Linux servers
- Develop design documentation
- Conduct technical information system security testing in support of the appropriate security risk management processes using security assessment and technical testing efforts to identify and patch vulnerabilities to the systems being developed
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Windows and Linux server operating systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of datacenter design best practices, rackmount equipment installation and maintenance, and cable management, network attached storage, direct attached storage, and storage protocols, including NFS and iSCSI
Skills
- Experience installing and configuring windows domains
- Experience setting up virtual infrastructure leveraging VMWare ESXI
- Experience setting up and configuring Linux servers
- Experience hardening Windows servers, Linux servers, and VMWare using DoW Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Experience analyzing network traffic with tools such as Wireshark or TCPDump
- Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 certificates and certificate authorities
- Ability to accurately depict network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience working in coordination with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the U.S. government
- Experience working in classified spaces to implement solutions
- Experience implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices
- Knowledge of CSfC Capability Packages (CPs)
- Ability to independently initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks, as identified
- Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- VMWare Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Solution Developer Certification
