[Remote] Reverse Engineer/Malware Analyst

The Reverse Engineer/Malware Analyst will analyze and reverse-engineer malware and APTs, identify vulnerabilities, and develop tools to enhance threat detection capabilities while collaborating with various teams to strengthen security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, dissect, and reverse-engineer malware and advanced persistent threats (APTs) to uncover their functionality and impact
  • Identify vulnerabilities and exploits across software, hardware, and network systems
  • Develop tools and scripts to enhance malware analysis and threat detection capabilities
  • Work closely with intelligence analysts, software developers, and cybersecurity teams to provide actionable insights that strengthen security posture
  • Document findings clearly and produce detailed technical reports for internal teams and federal partners
  • Stay current on emerging threats, malware trends, and reverse-engineering techniques
  • Support incident response and forensic investigations as needed to protect critical systems and information Skills
  • Strong experience in reverse engineering, malware analysis, and cybersecurity
  • Proficiency with assembly, C/C++, Python, and scripting languages for analysis automation
  • Experience with disassembly and debugging tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare2, OllyDbg, WinDbg)
  • Familiarity with operating systems internals (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, encryption, and exploit development is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • 12 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required Benefits
