Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer FULLY REMOTE Pay: $140k-$160k base + bonus We are a publicly traded, leading industrial technology / IoT (Internet of Things) company with roots in North America and Europe, along with a team of 12k+ employees. Position Overview The Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer is responsible for driving the implementation and optimization of cloud infrastructure and operations for our organization. This role focuses on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based systems while supporting the development and deployment of innovative solutions in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure solutions using best practices in Azure and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing proactive measures to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in cloud technologies and SRE practices.
- Resolve incidents and performance issues swiftly to minimize downtime and impact on users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles with a focus on cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Go, or Python.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with IoT concepts and technologies is a plus.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
