Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Greeting customers, answering questions, and explaining the car wash options available
  • Standing at the pay stations and assisting every customer that comes through the wash
  • Fielding customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Guiding customer vehicles into the wash tunnel
  • Maintaining the condition of the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out the garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Reporting to work on time and following the dress and appearance code

Duties and Job Breakdown Percentages

* 70% Customer Interaction: Providing exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues

  • 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining): Maintaining the condition of the car wash, including cleaning tasks and ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers
  • 5% Opening/Closing Procedures: Assisting with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and tearing down equipment and supplies
  • 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties: Identifying and resolving minor issues and concerns in a timely and efficient manner

Job Requirements

* Excellent communication skills, including active listening and strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate customer needs and provide solutions
  • Ability to work as a team, with a strong work ethic and professional attitude
  • Proficient computer skills, with the ability to learn a point of sales system
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm

Experience

* Customer service and sales experience preferred, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences

  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong work ethic and professional attitude

Working Environment

* The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

  • This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment, with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • The employee must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols, which may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.

Supervision Received

* The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
