The Marketing & Communications team at Cytek plays a pivotal role in shaping how our technology and scientific impact are understood and adopted by the global research community. This cross-functional team partners closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Scientific Affairs to craft compelling narratives, drive demand generation, strengthen brand presence, and support global campaigns that educate and engage key audiences-from researchers to institutional customers. The team blends strategic planning, digital marketing, content creation, go-to-market execution, event coordination, and market insights to amplify Cytek's leadership in advanced cell analysis. Key marketing roles include product and growth marketing leadership, technical marketing management, and digital demand generation, all focused on elevating Cytek's footprint in the scientific community and accelerating adoption of our solutions. We are seeking a skilled and innovative Scientific Content Strategist and Writer to own the global technical content strategy and governance across multiple channels. This role is responsible for defining what scientific content is created, why it is created, and how it is prioritized, ensuring alignment with business objectives, campaign strategy, and product positioning. The role focuses on content strategy, editorial planning, and messaging architecture, with extensive hands-on writing and editing. The ideal candidate combines strong scientific fluency with strategic judgment, content ownership, and cross-functional influence. This role is open to remote professionals as well as those who are local to the Bay Area and can commute to our Fremont, CA office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently author, high-impact technical assets (e.g., whitepapers, thought leadership pieces, or executive-level materials) where deep subject matter expertise is required.
  • Provide strategic technical review and guidance, focusing on scientific integrity and alignment with approved messaging frameworks.
  • Edit and refine existing materials for grammar, style, and brand alignment.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Applications, and Campaign Leads to identify content gaps, prioritize initiatives, and define content roadmaps.
  • Advise internal teams on best practices for technical storytelling and scientific communication.
  • Translate business objectives and campaign strategies into technical content plans, rather than executing ad hoc writing requests.
  • Provide strategic direction and feedback to internal contributors for content execution.
  • Design and continuously improve scalable content development processes, enabling efficient collaboration.
  • Define success metrics for technical content effectiveness (e.g., engagement) and use insights to inform future strategy.
  • Serve as the final technical authority for high-impact customer-facing content.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Scientific Writing, Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology), or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience leading scientific content strategy, editorial governance, or scientific communications within a complex, regulated, or highly technical environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on clarity and precision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Demonstrated experience defining content strategy and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts into strategic messaging frameworks, not just individual assets.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, for content creation and presentation refinement.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Passion for storytelling with technical accuracy.
  • Data-driven and analytical approach to content creation.
  • Experience with digital and print marketing channels.

The actual salary range will vary depending on the location where the candidate is based.

  • US Remote: $107,600 - $141,200
  • Bay Area, CA: 127,900 - USD 159,900
