We're hiring for the school year! We have schools near Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Brighton Beach, and other neighborhoods.
Engaging, resilient, flexible, proactive-these are just a few of the characteristics you should possess as a Leadership Trainer/Teaching Artist. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing mentoring and facilitation through our unique student-centered approach into multiple NYC schools.

Expected programming start late Septemeber including Orientation and Training.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Work independently to implement programming in some of the most challenging NYC public schools
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model
- Recruit and retain students as needed
- Learn and utilize our methodology
- Utilize your background to plan and implement after school programming
- Work on special projects and activities with students and community members
- Attend staff meetings and training
- Be prepared to physically work in any of our school communities and sites
- Be physically prepared to meet the demands of setting up your spaces at school sites, pick-up and drop-off supplies, and facilitate the activities of your assigned placements
- Submit appropriate paperwork and enter activity logs, attendance, and other data into our online database bi-weekly
- We are in need of candidates with backgrounds in martial arts, athletics, multimedia, chess, and dance, so these skill sets are a major plus, be sure to highlight them. We are also in need of multilingual candidates to include Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Creole, Bengali
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- A minimum of two years experience working in city public schools or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well and collaborate with team members
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience with Social Emotional Learning framework a plus
- Technological capacity to provide virtual facilitation if needed, as well as knowledge of virtual platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
- Experience in Anti-Racist Education and Restorative Justice is a major plus
- Are already, or ready to be, fingerprinted through the State Department of Education
- After school rates start at $130 for 3-hour in-person placements/residencies.
