Job Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Accurately reading, interpreting, and entering medication orders into our computer system, including dosage calculations and task assignments
• Contacting healthcare providers and insurance companies to verify the accuracy of patient medication orders
• Occasionally, you will be responsible for answering patient calls to arrange and manage new patient medication requests and reorders, which includes verifying and re-verifying benefits
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient medication orders and interactions
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow

Key Requirements

* A valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician License

• At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting
• At least 6 months of experience working with Windows-Based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
• Strong keyboarding skills and preference for sitting or standing for the duration of the shift (8-10 hours)
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard while performing the essential duties of this role

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician

• At least 90 days of experience handling and resolving customer needs via telephone
• Experience in healthcare, benefits, and insurance
• Experience with clinical charging, coding, and other clinical support roles
• Customer service experience in an office setting
• At least 6 months of professional work experience, including inbound and outbound telephone customer care
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of computer programs
• Amazing data entry skills
