We're seeking experienced full stack software engineers to join our distributed systems development team and help us build and enhance our foundation as we strive to reach 500 million members worldwide. Focus in Distributed Systems Development:
Our distributed systems development team is passionate about building scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant systems. We're active in the open-source community and believe in contributing back to the ecosystem. We're a small team responsible for building business-critical systems and are committed to a culture of collaboration and design excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and technical program managers
- Contribute to the open-source community and contribute back to arenaflex's OSS
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical debt reduction efforts
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team
Essential Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including scalability, availability, and consistency
- Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or GCP
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with distributed databases, such as Apache Cassandra or Apache HBase
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, such as serverless computing or event-driven architectures
- Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices

Compensation and Benefits:
arenaflex offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, a generous retirement plan, and a range of paid time off options.
