Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Data Entry Specialist to join our health care team. In this remote role, you will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining sensitive patient and administrative data. Your contributions will ensure that our data systems support high-quality patient care and efficient operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Data Entry: Accurately input patient information, administrative records, and other health care-related data into our secure systems, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Data Verification: Regularly review and verify data for accuracy and completeness, making necessary corrections when discrepancies are found, and ensuring compliance with health care regulations and privacy standards.
  • Record Maintenance: Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and other databases, adhering to health care regulations and privacy standards, and ensuring the integrity of sensitive patient data.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with team members to conduct routine audits of data entries to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Generate periodic reports from the data systems to support clinical and administrative decision-making, and provide insights to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory standards to protect patient confidentiality and data integrity, and ensure the security of sensitive patient information.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Experience: Prior experience in data entry, preferably within the health care industry, is an advantage, but not a requirement. We are open to training and developing the right candidate.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, data entry software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of sensitive data, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective collaboration with team members, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy, and a commitment to prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines, and a willingness to sign confidentiality agreements as required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or coursework in health care administration or data management is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • Certifications: Certification in health care administration, data management, or a related field, such as Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) or Certified Data Analyst (CDA).
  • Experience with EHR Systems: Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  • Data Analysis: Experience with data analysis and reporting, and the ability to generate insights and recommendations from data.
