As a Vice President, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Management, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. This role will support in leading IT strategies and oversee all AI and Data Management related applications to include development, support and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Data Scientists, AI & ML Engineers and Analysts while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning and delivering high impact solutions
• Hands-on (keyboard) experience
• Responsible for managing oversight, outreach initiatives, and internal and external communications as it pertains to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data
• Lead internal enterprise communications on all matters related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data matters through presentations and other outlets
• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI & ML and Data strategy aligned with business objectives & industry best practices
• Support all GDIT Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data commitments through facilitation, development and maintenance of all applicable policies, procedures, and protocols in collaboration with GD, GDIT and other Business Units
• Responsible for testing and validating machine learning models by using various methodologies and metrics for future deployment
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in AI & ML algorithms, data modeling, data engineering, and data governance and support the deployment across various domains (e.g., natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics)
• Lead and direct the monitoring of AI & ML performance to achieve overall GCIO and organizational goals
• Provide technical evaluations by assessing emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning and data management and analytics technologies
• Identify potential risks related to data integrity, security, and compliance, and implement mitigation strategies
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI & ML, data management and analytics and champion their adoption within the organization
• Design and implement scalable data architecture and infrastructure solutions while leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure - Government High Space) and big data technologies
• Oversee the development of machine learning systems; Includes designing and implementing algorithms, creating data pipelines, and deploying models for production and utilization
• Collaborate with other IT service owners, stakeholders and Project Management Office (PMO) to provide support and drive the end-to-end execution of AI & ML and Data projects from inception to delivery; Ensure adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards
• Provide oversight and inputs and subject matter expertise on government and/or industry audits and assessments related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data
• Lead coordination of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data outreach, including oversight of budget and allocation of resources
• Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams, including within IT, Product Management, and Business Units to understand requirements and deliver impactful data-driven solutions
• Conduct research and reviews external materials to develop and maintain understanding of Artificial Intelligence legislation, government, and customer direction; Includes providing advisory and strategic support related to such activities to internal stakeholders
• Conduct and oversee training on AI & ML and Data reporting, participation plans, resources, tools, and processes
• Actively participate in business and program activities, to include responding to request(s) for information/proposal (RFI/RFP)
• Ensure and audit compliance with relevant corporate, government, industry and customer policies and standards
• Responsible for the implementation of risk and compliance procedures to ensure internal controls meet company standards within Sector and Division organizations
• Accountable for the reliability, adequacy, and arenaflex effectiveness of technology platforms & applications
• Collaborate with key stakeholders (to include executive leaders) to successfully deliver AI & ML Solutions to projects, as well as, Data management, Analytics and Reporting projects, all in accordance with scope, quality, budget, and time targets Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in data management, data analytics and reporting, artificial intelligence, or related technical field; Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
• Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI & ML, Data Management, or related technical roles with a track record of successful project delivery and team leadership. Ten (10+) years of related technical experience in the areas of Solution Architecture and Programming. Must have significant knowledge and experience working within an Azure environment utilizing Azure AI toolsets and secure application development
• Required Technical Skills: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and BI platforms
• Required Skills and Abilities: Proven track record of leading successful AI & ML initiatives, including model development, implementation, and deployment. Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies. Proficiency in ML frameworks & libraries (e.g., TensorFlow & PyTorch) and experience in developing and optimizing models. Experience in programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Scala, or Java). Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and BI platforms. Must have significant knowledge and experience working within an Azure GCC-High environment utilizing Azure AI toolsets and secure application development. Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of standard project methodologies regarding project initiation, current state analysis, future state design, implementation, and project transition/close-out.
• Ability to present business strategies (often to non-technical audiences) to obtain buy-in & funding for current and new technologies.
