Marketing CRM Specialist

About the position The (REMOTE) The Specialist, Marketing CRM is responsible for creating email and SMS strategies and campaigns to support Mattress Firm's marketing and promotional strategy and objectives. This role will own the ongoing development and optimization of existing email and SMS campaigns as well as partner cross-functionally to identify and launch new initiatives. The role will require a strong knowledge of customer marketing and retail strategies as well as expertise with data, segmentation, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and email and SMS best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute email and SMS campaigns to drive customer engagement both in-store and online.
  • Apply email best practices in customer segmentation, audience building, personalized offers and measurements to continuously drive email and SMS channel performance.
  • Create business cases for new email and SMS engagement opportunities and get buy-in from key internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with Creative and other internal stakeholders as well as external Email Service Provider and SMS vendor on email and SMS development, scheduling, and asset delivery.
  • Develop a SMS channel test and learn plan to enable rapid experimentation to increase effectiveness and growth of the SMS channel.
  • Evaluate KPI's for measuring success against organizational goals and work closely with data/analytics team to continue improvements in measurements and customer segmentation.
  • Manage external vendor and partners to ensure quality deliverables and project timelines.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Communicates any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.
  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
  • Promote digital marketing tests and learnings throughout the marketing department and across MFRM business units.
  • Execute Company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ (2023) Years relevant work experience driving successful email marketing programs for brands with an online and offline retail presence required
  • Adapts to new situations, changes, and shifts strategies to meet different types of challenges.
  • Pays meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • The ability to develop a story based in data to present to internal and external team members.
  • Report on campaign performance to the immediate manager.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Creative with ability to express an inner ideal into an artistic, creative or aesthetic form.
  • Ability to craft a presentation and present ideas to various audiences.
  • Skillful in compiling, organizing and using data to enhance planning and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organization and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Analytical skills: Analysis of large data sets and draw conclusions and optimizations from them.
  • Adept at forming structures, patterns and connections from information, ideas and images, and the ability to derive actionable insights from email marketing metrics and KPIs.
  • Ability to invent and develop original ideas and turn new and imaginative ideas into reality.
  • Skilled in initiating, structuring and carrying out steps to complete projects and tasks.
  • Exceptional knowledge of all media channels and the role they play in the consumer purchasing funnel.
  • Microsoft Office Products Proficiency in Salesforce (SFMC) or other Email Service Provider.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • We require proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Competitive $45,000 - $50,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
  • For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
