Experienced Data Engineer – Cloud-Based Data Pipeline Development and Support

The Data Engineering Team
Our Data Engineering team is responsible for designing and developing data pipelines that support our business operations. We work closely with our data science colleagues to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business value. As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipeline development to data visualization and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
- Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to support our business operations
- Collaborating with data science colleagues to develop and deploy data-driven solutions
- Developing and maintaining data visualization tools and dashboards to support business decision making
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and science
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL pipeline development and support
- Strong experience with Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Experience with source control systems such as GitLab or GitHub
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database design
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
- Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
- Experience with automated workflow schedulers
- Experience with data visualization tools and dashboards
