Job Overview

The Director Data Science position will lead the Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance, focusing on building and maintaining centralized reporting capabilities, implementing process enhancements and automation, and driving innovative data solutions to deliver robust forecasts and analytics for the wider Risk Finance organization. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for strategic analysis, data asset management, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with Senior Management, Risk Finance teams, and partners across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic analysis of credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance, providing actionable insights and recommendations
• Own and manage specific data assets/packages within Risk Finance, becoming a power user of relevant tools and driving adoption across the organization
• Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners, offering credit-related analytical support and guidance
• Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management, influencing business and risk decisions
• Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, and other areas, fostering collaboration and driving results
• Provide decision-support with a strong emphasis on developing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio, optimizing Business and Risk decisions

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Advanced experience working with a majority of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
• Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex models and presentations
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus, with a strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques
• Solid financial and analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions
• Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
• A results-driven and proactive approach, with a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively with team members to achieve goals
• A Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline, with a strong academic foundation in data science and analytics
