Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be responsible for providing service to customers in the Electricity industry. Your primary duties will include:

  • Fielding incoming customer service calls and assuming responsibility to resolve customer issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Researching account status and identifying account issues
  • Addressing billing inquiries and resolving billing disputes
  • Processing disconnection and re-connection requests
  • Enrolling customers and resolving enrollment issues
  • Initiating collection activity on past due accounts and processing disconnection and re-connection requests
  • Serving as a customer advocate while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies associated with the role

Skills and Knowledge

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required: You'll need to be proficient in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with our customers.
  • Outstanding phone etiquette and polished communication skills (written and verbal): You'll need to possess excellent communication skills to provide top-notch service to our customers.
  • Excellent listening skills: You'll need to be an active listener to understand customer concerns and provide effective solutions.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with agitated customers: You'll need to remain calm and composed when dealing with difficult customers.
  • Attentive to detail and committed to high-quality customer service: You'll need to be meticulous in your work and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills: You'll need to be able to analyze customer issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Willingness to identify problems and suggest process improvements: You'll need to be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Word and Excel applications: You'll need to be proficient in using Windows, MS Word, and Excel to perform your duties.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where change is commonplace: You'll need to be adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Experience

To be considered for this role, you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center environment: You'll need to have experience working in a call center environment, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Customer care experience strongly preferred: You'll need to have experience providing customer care and resolving customer issues.
  • Experience within the retail electricity industry strongly preferred: You'll need to have experience working in the retail electricity industry, providing customer service and support.
  • Experience in similar markets such as utilities, telecom, or cable preferred: You'll need to have experience working in similar industries, providing customer service and support.
