Senior AI Engineer & Solutions Architect (Gemini / RAG Specialist) - Remote

Overview: Architecting the Future of Work Bold Business is building the operating system for the future of work: Bold Amplify™. Our platform goes beyond basic automation to deliver an AI-first system that combines Lean management principles with the reasoning power of Generative AI. As a Lead Architect, you will design and build a cloud-native, multi-tenant AI platform where intelligence is embedded directly into business workflows—not added later as a chatbot. You will own the core architecture and execution, creating a “Second Brain” that turns unstructured data (resumes, emails, documents, logs) into reliable, searchable, and actionable intelligence. This is a hands-on architecture role focused on building real systems used in production at scale. Core Focus: Architecture, Integration & Impact AI Knowledge Platform (“Second Brain”)

• Design and implement a production-ready RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture using Vertex AI and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB). You will enable AI models (Gemini) to safely and reliably use business data from systems like Greenhouse, HubSpot, and QuickBooks.

Agentic Workflows & Automation

• Build AI-driven workflows that go beyond simple rules. You will design state machines and agent-based systems that can reason, remember context, and complete multi-step tasks—such as generating financial variance reports or managing recruiting workflows end to end.

Platform & Infrastructure Ownership

• Own the architecture of a multi-tenant, cloud-native ERP-style platform, including:
• Data isolation and permissions
• Schema design and migrations
• Auditability and compliance
• You will use Terraform to provision secure, scalable infrastructure across GCP and AWS.

Backend & Integrations

• Build backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, including APIs, event handlers, and third-party integrations. You will design event-driven systems using queues, retries, and DLQs to ensure reliability and observability in production.

Engineering Excellence (GitHub + Delivery)

• Own and improve engineering workflow quality through GitHub:
• Lead code reviews, enforce PR standards, and maintain repo hygiene
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions (tests, linting, builds, deployments)
• Implement secure SDLC practices (secrets, environments, branch protection, required checks)
• Drive release discipline (versioning, tagging, changelogs)

Business Translation

• Work closely with product, BOLD leadership, and clients to translate operational problems into scalable AI solutions. You will help connect business workflows to technical designs that deliver measurable outcomes.

Who You Are Experience & Background

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3–5+ years working on cloud-native platforms, ERP systems, or multi-tenant SaaS
• Comfortable working with distributed teams and global stakeholders

Technical Strengths

• Strong Python skills for AI logic, orchestration, and data workflows
• Strong TypeScript/Node.js skills for APIs, integrations, and backend services
• Expert-level SQL/PostgreSQL, including multi-tenant data modeling and migrations
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures (queues, pub/sub, retries, idempotency, DLQs)
• Experience integrating external systems using REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth, and webhooks

AI & Systems Thinking

• Practical experience deploying LLMs in production, especially Gemini
• Understanding of token costs, latency, context windows, and tradeoffs between chains, tools, and agents
• Experience with RAG frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex)

Cloud & Platform Skills (AWS + GitHub Expertise Required)

• Expert-level AWS experience building and operating production systems (e.g., IAM, VPC, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, RDS, CloudWatch, KMS, Secrets Manager)
• Strong experience with GCP, especially Vertex AI and serverless patterns (for Gemini/RAG workloads)
• Experience with vector databases and unstructured data ingestion pipelines
• Expert-level GitHub proficiency, including PR workflows, repo management, and GitHub Actions CI/CD
