Job Summary

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you will be responsible for handling property and casualty (P&C) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone. You will provide customers with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium. You will also have the opportunity to work from home, with a competitive hourly rate, comprehensive benefits package, and a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Contact policyholders from our existing book of business through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal.

  • Review and update policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer.
  • Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by P&C insurance.
  • Make appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the policy and gain policyholder acceptance to process the changes.
  • Receive and respond to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity (changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling) in EPIC.
  • Utilize knowledge of the insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service.
  • Provide quotes on endorsements as requested.
  • Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms for insured, and act as liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies.
  • Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies, following up with the company to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner.
  • Review policy information and references company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims.
  • Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, following up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer.
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Need from You

* High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment.

  • Property and Casualty insurance license required.
  • Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Work Schedule

* Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, with rotating Saturdays with the team (Saturday hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
