Cyber Security PM (contract)

The Security Designer is a critical role responsible for overseeing the successful design of complex security projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of security systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines, ensuring seamless project execution
  • Lead the design and review of security systems such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems
  • Ensure design packages comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements, utilizing CAD and BlueBeam for documentation
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively, proactively addressing risks and implementing solutions
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, understanding their needs and addressing concerns
  • Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and audits to ensure high standards in project deliverables
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
  • Preferred certifications such as PMP, CPP, or CSPM, and experience with systems like Ccure, Axis, or Flir
  • Proven experience in project management within the physical security or low-voltage systems industry
  • In-depth technical knowledge of security systems (ACS, SVS, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm)
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws, as well as life safety and fire codes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., SmartSheets, Google Suite) and design tools (e.g., CAD, BlueBeam)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of LEED and CPTED principles and experience in construction and facility management industries.
