Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze mortgage applications for auto and home insurance coverage, assessing risk factors and eligibility.

Approve, modify, or decline mortgage applications based on thorough risk analysis and underwriting guidelines.

Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to internal teams and external clients when required.

Collaborate with mortgage brokers, loan officers, and insurance partners to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional documentation.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve underwriting processes and enhance risk management strategies.

• Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mortgage Underwriter or in a similar underwriting role.

Strong understanding of auto and home insurance underwriting principles.

• *

Excellent analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.

• *

Knowledge of federal, state, and local mortgage and insurance regulations.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in mortgage underwriting software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant platforms.

• Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting, preferably with a focus on auto and home insurance.

Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment is an advantage.

Prior experience with risk assessment and regulatory compliance in mortgage or insurance sectors is highly preferred.

• Working Hours

Full-time remote position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
