Adjunct Faculty in Human Resources Management, Online - Remote
Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline. Conducts office hours as assigned. Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for an online graduate level Human Resources Management class for the upcoming Fall quarter, starting October 6th. We believe in a strong faculty-student relationship and building a community in the classroom. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
- Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.
- Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
- Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
- Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
- Adhere to University policies and procedures.
- Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
Job Skills:
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the University.
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
- Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
- Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.
Work Experience:
- Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
- 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources Management or other HR function preferred.
- 3 years of Project Management experience required.
Education: All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution to be considered.
- Doctorate Degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Development required OR
- Doctorate Degree in Business-related Discipline w/ Master's Degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Human Resources Management or Human Resources Development required.
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).
Other:
- No travel.
- Must be able to lift 1 lb.
