Revenue Financial Analyst
Hearst Newspapers is a forward-thinking media organization seeking a Revenue Financial Analyst. This role involves analyzing financial results, building financial models, and partnering with various teams to improve operational efficiency and drive data-driven business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly financial results and explain key variances
- Build financial models and perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Prepare clear, data-driven presentations for senior leadership
- Manage reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across business units
- Assist in the monthly financial close process
- Help drive synergies across markets through standardized processes, reporting, and best practices
- Partner with Advertising and Consumer Marketing teams to improve market standardization and operational efficiency
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills; comfortable with pivot tables, formulas, and modeling
- Experience or interest in tools like PowerBI, Oracle, Salesforce, or SAP
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and a drive for process improvement
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams
