Graduate Electrical Engineer
Sedgman Canada Ltd. is hiring a Graduate Electrical Engineer for their Vancouver, B.C. office. The selected candidate will provide electrical engineering support, focusing on the design of electrical systems for heavy equipment and mining infrastructure while ensuring safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical design support through the engineering phases PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in mining technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes
- Additional duties as required – may be required to work on client sites
Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Discipline)
- 0 – 3 years of work experience in electrical design
- Must be eligible to register with the EGBC or will have their P.Eng EGBC designation
- Knowledge of electrical engineering codes, equipment, and technologies
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be available to travel to Client sites; may be seconded to work on projects, either temporarily relocated, or placed on a rotational roster
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
