Entry-Level Structural Engineer - Tempe, AZ (ELE)

They are seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join their Advanced Facilities - Electronics team in Tempe, AZ, where the role involves working on structural design projects and gaining experience in structural analysis and design under the guidance of Professional Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects that enable the heart of clients’ business
• Assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for projects
• Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed
• Work with Designers to communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model
• Develop understanding of principles of analysis and design of vertical and lateral structural systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Manage own workload and meet commitments while taking ownership of the structural scope

Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with a clear emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• This position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site)
• Internet service with a MINIMUM speed of 25Mbps download/10Mbps upload as required to effectively meet project performance requirements (higher internet speed is recommended)
• Sponsorship is not available for this position
• MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
• Previous relevant internship experience in Structural Engineering, preferably with experience analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
• Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
• Familiarity with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
