Traveling Security Technician
Unlimited Technology, Inc. is a premier cyber and physical security specialty contractor committed to innovation and adaptability. They are seeking a Traveling Security Technician responsible for the installation, servicing, testing, and inspection of access control and IP camera products and systems, while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms
- Must be able to read and comprehend engineered drawings
- Must have a basic understanding of door hardware installation
- Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets
- Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Communicate all project activity to the UTI project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe driving record and report any incidents or near misses to management immediately
Skills
- High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent
- At least one (1) to five (5) years of security installation experience and network ability
- Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (i.e., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control)
- Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices
- Prior troubleshooting experience
- Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred DCJS Certified or ability to obtain is required
- Security industry certifications
- Knowledge of: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, Galaxy, Brivo, Bosch, Southwest Microwave, Genetec, and/or Onssi
