Field Engineering Technician

The Field Engineering Technician will perform field inspections, engineering design work, and provide engineering support during construction, ensuring all applicable standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Review work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes
• Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met
• Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design
• Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections and return to the office to perform engineering design work

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 6+ months of prior relevant experience for Level 1
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience for Level 2
• Associates Degree or higher in engineering technology or related is preferred for Level 2
• Able to walk at least one mile, swing a 3lb hammer, and execute field work on a daily basis
• Willingness to perform both field and office work
• Able to work in both team and independent environments to organize work to meet deadlines
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in outdoor environments, as some field work could be required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Associates Degree or higher in engineering technology or related is preferred for Level 2
