[Remote] Early Career Trial Attorney - (Remote - New Jersey)

They are seeking an Early Career Trial Attorney to manage PIP/No Fault litigation, provide counsel to business clients, and stay updated on laws and regulations. This role involves a mix of courtroom responsibilities and legal strategy in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of PIP/no-fault litigation from case inception through resolution including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records
• Attend Arbitration hearings court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases
• Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work
• Defend the company against medical bill claims

Skills

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New Jersey state bar
• Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents
• Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines
• Capable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery process
• Skilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and maintaining records of interactions
• Well-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conduct
• Equipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussions
• Must reside within a commutable distance and be able to travel throughout New Jersey, as needed, for trials, court appearances, virtual hearings, and other related proceedings
