Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative in our Healthcare Call Center, you will play a critical role in resolving customer inquiries, resolving missed visits or supplies, and providing timely and accurate information to our members and providers. You will be responsible for handling a high volume of calls, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

* Assist in resolving missed visits or supplies by reaching out to providers for status updates and authorizations, as needed

  • Handle all LTC (Member/Provider) calls, focusing on one call resolution and answering calls in a timely manner
  • Review authorizations and assist in correcting authorizations to match the PCCP
  • Triage and route calls correctly, unless the member/provider insists on speaking directly with a Customer Service Representative or Supervisor
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve issues brought up by the caller before the call is routed to a Customer Service Representative or Supervisor
  • Meet and exceed performance expectations, including:

+ Call Center metrics (Talk time, Hold, Aftercall) at 95% or above + Schedule Adherence at 95% or above + Call Quality scores at 95% or above

Qualifications and Skills

* 2-3 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably in managed care or physician's office settings

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
  • Experience with LTC/Medical Authorization processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Windows
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the healthcare industry
  • Certification in medical terminology or a related field (e.g., CMT, RMA)
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and process improvements
