[Remote] Machine Learning Intern (causal discovery & inference)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Synlico Inc. is an AI-powered Drug Discovery startup focused on discovering and developing innovative therapies by establishing causality. The machine learning intern will design state-of-the-art causal discovery and inference algorithms for biological systems and collaborate with various teams to contribute to innovation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design state-of-the-art causal discovery & inference algorithms for biological systems at the cellular level
- Foster strong collaboration with bioinformatics, ML, and causal teams and provide expert opinions to project peers
- Keep abreast of emerging trends in causal discovery and inference, contribute to innovation initiatives and incorporating fresh ideas and technologies
Skills
- In penultimate or final year of Ph.D in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Demonstrate a robust research history and strong publication record
- Expert in causal structure discovery & causal inference theory and SOTA approach
- Solid understanding in machine learning & deep learning
- Solid coding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
- Passionate about addressing complex, real-world challenges and creating impactful, innovative solutions
