We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist to join our Details and Data Gathering team, where you'll play a vital role in guaranteeing the precision of sports information on our platforms worldwide.
Job Summary:
As a Full Stack Data Entry Specialist, you'll work in a part-time capacity, collaborating with our Details and Data team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sports information on our platforms. You'll work with automated data feeds and manual data entry to deliver precise, convenient, and insightful sports information. Your expertise will help transform data into compelling storylines, and you'll have the opportunity to utilize your skills in math, economics, data science, SQL programming, and more to drive our data-driven initiatives and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure sports information disseminated by Details and Data is precise, convenient, and sagacious.
- Work in individual settings and in groups to convey exact detailed breakdown, clock-and-score, and different measurements and information continuously that power a large number of arenaflex items and creations.
- Create and maintain a working knowledge of Details and Data's role in fueling arenaflex digital products and television productions.
- Check the results of one's own work and that of others; perform with a reliably high level of care.
- Contribute to creation, projects, and drives across the newsroom, and help newsroom leaders who are coordinating full-and part-time staff.
- Anticipate likely issues, both daily and long-term, and propose possible solutions. Communicate rapidly and clearly with partners on these issues.
- Play a proactive role in working with partners in creating or refining production processes.
- Be an active member in team and division meetings.
- Seek and respond to feedback on private performance.
- Remain informed about current office policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of the games.
- Full-time availability, which will include evenings (solely), weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports information that drives arenaflex's digital and television products.
- Capacity to achieve a high level of content precision in time-sensitive production circumstances.
- Ability to communicate confidently – verbally and in writing – to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often through the chaos of a busy newsroom.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 1+ years' experience working in sports or potentially analytics, ideally in media.
- Knowledge of how sports information is used in media and for research purposes.
- Working knowledge of arenaflex products and productions.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
- Experience leading or training a team.
- Ability to speak and write Spanish
- Experience incorporating social media in a business or news environment
Required Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
