Sales Development Representative

Monotype is a leading company recognized for its innovative design solutions, specializing in typefaces and font technologies. They are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to engage potential customers, qualify leads, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enhance lead generation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and engage potential customers through outbound prospecting (primarily by email & phone)
• Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings for our Account Executives
• Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and improve lead generation efforts
• Focus on the value that Monotype brings to an organization by understanding the pain points that prospective customers are currently experiencing
• Pass qualified opportunities to Americas new business Sales team, based on established rules of engagement
• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in our CRM system
• Learn the ins and outs of our products and the creative SaaS space to confidently speak with prospects
• Continuously improve by testing outreach strategies, sharing feedback, and participating in team training sessions

Skills

• 6+ months in a customer-facing or service role (retail, hospitality, support, etc.)
• Proactive mindset
• Curious and not afraid to take initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable talking to anyone
• Thoughtful approach to situations
• Ability to make smart decisions and follow through
• Excited to build a career in sales
• Open to learning fast in a collaborative, creative environment
• Comfortable using CRM tools, email, and modern workplace software
• Sales experience
