[Remote] Insurance Product Analyst

They are seeking a motivated Insurance Product Analyst to analyze complex business problems, support strategic decisions, and contribute to the success of the Commercial Auto Insurance Product Management team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and interpret statistical analyses of key business metrics to help support strategic decisions within the business unit
- Develop, interpret, and present analysis and proposals to various stakeholder groups to help solve mid to high level business problems in pursuit of company goals
- Employ basic statistical techniques to model various underwriting and pricing business practices
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, Data/Business Analytics, or other relevant quantitative field of study OR Bachelor's degree in any field of study plus prior experience
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Highly effective communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL or other similar languages to extract data
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with data analysis software like R, SAS, Python, or Power BI
- Ability to work independently given general direction and to thrive in a team environment that is constantly changing
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities, providing accurate and timely results
- Intellectual curiosity to learn and ability to ask insightful questions
- Effective time management, attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- 1 - 2 years of analytical experience in insurance or a similar field required
- Previous experience in auto insurance is a plus
