Landscape Designer

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

CESO, INC. is a company that values purpose and service, seeking a Landscape Designer to join their Landscape Architecture team. The role involves supporting the development of site designs and preparing construction documents under the guidance of senior team members, while collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of senior team members, assist in the preparation of landscape architectural construction documents, including site layout, hardscape, planting, irrigation, and lighting plans
  • Support the development of 2D and 3D visualizations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Lumion
  • Assist in due diligence efforts by conducting research on site conditions, environmental constraints, jurisdictional and ordinance requirements, and document all findings
  • Participate in internal project meetings and contribute to design discussions
  • Perform revisions as marked up and directed by senior team members and self-check completed work for accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Assist in the coordination of design elements with other disciplines, including civil engineering and architecture
  • Prepare base files and convert digital data into usable formats for design and documentation
  • Participate in site visits to observe and document project progress and assist in preparing site reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field is required
  • Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Lumion, and Bluebeam
  • Knowledge regarding land-use activities
  • Ability to function independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel required on an as-needed basis
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in landscape architecture is preferred. Internship/Co-ops may be counted towards years of experience
  • Progression toward Landscape Architecture Registration is encouraged
  • Experience in simultaneously balancing multiple projects is preferred
