Lead API Developer/Architect - Local to Cleveland, Dallas, or Pittsburgh

About the position Position Description: This hybrid role can be filled from the client site in one of the following locations: Cleveland OH, Dallas TX, or Pittsburgh PA. CGI is seeking an experienced Java Back End API developer to join our financial services team and provide leadership and hands-on integration expertise to our top tier US Bank clients. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Engagement with product analyst and solution architects to interpret functional specifications to develop innovative solutions. . Build secure, scalable and high-performance applications . Work in an Agile environment and actively participate in sprint/project/release planning to provide development estimates for the program. . Participate in requirements tuning and design reviews, sprint readiness and retrospective reviews and other inspections. . Develop and exercise implementation and unit test cases . Build technical documentation. . Communication with client stakeholders . Ensuring that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements. . Developing testable features with lean requirements and supervision. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,800.00 - $156,700.00. Responsibilities

  • Engagement with product analyst and solution architects to interpret functional specifications to develop innovative solutions.
  • Build secure, scalable and high-performance applications
  • Work in an Agile environment and actively participate in sprint/project/release planning to provide development estimates for the program.
  • Participate in requirements tuning and design reviews, sprint readiness and retrospective reviews and other inspections.
  • Develop and exercise implementation and unit test cases
  • Build technical documentation.
  • Communication with client stakeholders
  • Ensuring that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
  • Developing testable features with lean requirements and supervision.
  • Continuously deploy and validate code in numerous testing environments as well as lead hotfix and production code releases.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in Core Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, Oracle SQLs, Junits (Must)
  • Knowledge of Agile process, Expert knowledge of Java, REST API, SQL, SoapUI, UDeploy, Git
  • Familiar with various software architectural and design patterns.
  • Good Communication Skills (must have)

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with Spring MVC, JSP, Jquery, Angular, Tomcat (Good to have)
