Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack EHS Lead to join our team at the Waukee records middle. As a key member of our site leadership team, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive EHS services, including construction safety, physical safety, business hygiene, and environmental compliance. This is a full-time, in-character role that requires a strong understanding of EHS principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with local and broader site teams, company EHS training team, and records center education team to ensure training is developed and deployed according to regulations and mission needs
- Conduct job risk analysis, identify controls, and approve work permits
- Oversee on-site contractors and vendors
- Lead or participate in incident investigations, develop corrective actions, and drive actions to closure
- Engage in EHS audits and tests
- Assist with chemical and hazardous materials management
- Comply with record-keeping and reporting requirements for air, water, and waste permits
- Perform business hygiene inspections
- Support corporate EHS initiatives to enhance control systems, standards improvement, and technology systems
Essential Qualifications
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EHS, with a strong emphasis on construction, contractor management, and data center preservation and operations
- Strong understanding of facilities management, engineering, production, environmental control, physical safety (e.g., working at height, electrical isolation, medium voltage, confined space, PPE), fire/life safety, and industrial hygiene
- Excellent company, project management, data analytics, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to persuade without authority
- Ability to learn and use software solutions for data management, online file collaboration, and digital meetings
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to respond quickly with clear and accurate input to a range of stakeholders
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Solid knowledge of applicable consensus standards and federal, state, and local regulations
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant EHS field
- Relevant technical certifications, such as CSP or CIH
- Ability to support after-hours emergency response
