A firm is seeking an associate attorney with 3 years of healthcare litigation experience to join their medical malpractice team. Ideal candidates will have experience working with elder law and representing long term care clients. Candidates with insurance backgrounds with a passion to work in the practice area will be considered. The mid-sized firm offers a fully remote schedule and opportunity for growth. The firm has a long-standing reputation of successfully defending their long-term care clients, insurers, and investment groups. This is a fully remote position that requires the candidate to have experience in medical malpractice defense and long term care defense. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling a high volume of cases, litigation, trial experience, and critical reasoning. Applicants should reside in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Orange County. Our firm is a busy growing practice so applicants must have a passion for medical malpractice or healthcare litigation. Job Details Responsibilities:

• Defend healthcare providers in medical malpractice and long term care defense cases
• Manage a high volume of cases from inception to resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
• Attend depositions, hearings, and trials
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state of residence
• 2+ years of experience in medical malpractice defense and long term care defense
• Strong litigation and trial experience
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases
• Excellent critical reasoning and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in legal research and writing
