Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Afternoon Shift (3-7pm CT), you will be responsible for:

  • Entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems with precision and accuracy.
  • Transmitting information or documents using a computer, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
  • Reading and visually verifying information in various formats for accuracy and completeness, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Entering and retrieving information from computer databases to update records and answer inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Verifying information in documents or on computer screens for accuracy, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Operating standard office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, and photocopiers, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Identifying and recommending new ways to increase organizational efficiency and productivity, driving innovation and growth.
  • Following all company safety and security policies and procedures, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to enter and retrieve information accurately using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in operating standard office equipment, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, with a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, with a focus on physical and mental well-being.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clear and concise communication.

Nice-to-haves

While not essential, experience in a similar administrative role and familiarity with point of sale systems would be highly valued, as would a strong understanding of data entry software and systems.
