Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician with blithequark, you will work in our closed-door pharmacy, collaborating with pharmacists and other team members to ensure accurate medication dispensing and exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing order entry tasks and verifying correct dosages based on prescriptions
- Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
- Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
- Assisting in reviewing narcotic Rx's in a timely manner
- Providing dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
- Creating and maintaining accurate customer records

Required Qualifications
* Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- PTCB National Certification

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and pharmacists
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy software
