Job Overview

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to work in one of two exciting areas: Utility Customer Service or Customer Service 311. As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the public, responding to a wide range of inquiries, and resolving customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Your primary duty will be to establish new utility accounts, service transfers, and close accounts, as well as handle utility payments, perform accurate data entry, and assist customers in resolving billing inquiries and meter-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public through phone calls, online inquiries, and in-person interactions
  • Establish new utility accounts, service transfers, and close accounts in accordance with established procedures
  • Handle utility payments using established cash handling procedures and perform accurate data entry
  • Assist customers in resolving billing inquiries and meter-related issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Respond to requests for basic information and process various citywide service requests
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to ensure efficient resolution of service requests
  • Proficiently operate the customer relationship management system by accurately inputting personal, geographical, and incident-specific information

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Ability to speak Spanish
  • Experience with Tyler Munis/ERP computer programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
