Experienced Cybersecurity Analyst – Part-Time Remote Position at blithequark

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Incident Response Team on a part-time remote basis, working 8 hours per week at $25/hour.

Key Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with our business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes, providing high-quality technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with business clients to identify and address cybersecurity threats
- Ensuring that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and departmental standards
- Managing project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
- Serving as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between business and IT teams
- Participating in system and acceptance testing
- Extending your work to support group projects as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, cybersecurity, information assurance)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management principles, standards, and best practices
- Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm is a plus
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Administration, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) is a plus
- Basic understanding of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement is a plus
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain complex, organization-wide programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Basic understanding of technical environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
- Coursework or experience related to cybersecurity is a plus
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple, simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines
- Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year is a plus
- Experience tackling business problems in a capstone or case competition is a plus
