Job Summary

As a Customer Service Trainee at blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting our mission to improve oral health. In this developing and learning capacity, you will perform a range of tasks, including researching inquiries, responding to customer and provider questions, maintaining departmental records, and operating office equipment. You will also have the opportunity to make corrections to claims and eligibility, enter new claims and subscriber information, and review subscriber coverage to determine type and level of benefits.

Responsibilities

* Researches inquiries by accessing the claims processing system and other informational sources

  • Responds to customer/group and provider questions through telephone contact and/or written communication (such as mail) using proper etiquette, grammar, punctuation, etc.
  • Maintains related departmental records and files
  • Operates office equipment which may include a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, etc.
  • Makes corrections to claims and eligibility
  • Enters new claims, eligibility and subscriber information into the mainframe
  • Reviews subscriber's coverage to determine type and level of benefits

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • One year of customer service experience in a business environment that requires the use of a computer program to assist the customer, preferably in a call center, and/or dental experience
  • Successful completion of the customer service simulation test (minimum score of 62 out of a possible 100) (assessment waived if candidate previously passed test while at blithequark or if previously held Customer Service Trainee, Customer Service Advisor or Customer Service Associate position)
  • Ability to begin work 8:25 a.m. or work until 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (first shift)
  • Ability to begin work at 11:00 a.m. or work until 12:00 Midnight, Monday through Friday (second shift)

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a call center or customer-facing role

  • Familiarity with dental benefits and terminology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Training and Development

As a Customer Service Trainee at blithequark, you will participate in a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role. The training schedule will be hybrid, with on-site training in weeks 1, 2, 6, and 7, and remote training in weeks 3, 4, 5, and 8.
