The Business Insights Team
Our Business Insights team is the backbone of blithequark's data-driven decision-making process. We work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and present data that informs business strategies and drives growth. As a Lead Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts in developing and implementing data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for:
- Business Performance Reporting: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain business performance reports that provide insights into key metrics and drivers of business growth.
- Data Tooling and Methodology: Lead the development of data tools and methodologies that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- BI Execution: Drive the implementation of business intelligence solutions that provide real-time insights into business performance and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Creating a Single Source of Truth: Collaborate with our Operations team to develop and maintain a single source of truth for business metrics and KPIs.
- ETL and Metric Planning: Own the development and maintenance of ETL processes and metrics that support business decision-making.
- Communication and Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs.
Essential Capabilities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on data visualization and business intelligence.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Capabilities
While not required, the following skills and experiences would be a plus:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
- Experience with data storytelling and presentation techniques.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business drivers and metrics.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- A base salary range of $136,100 to $182,400 per year, depending on location and experience.
