Job Summary
As a Production Operator Packaging, you'll play a critical role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing equipment and processes. You'll work closely with our production team to identify and resolve issues, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate production equipment, including mechanical and programmable controls, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment, including the filler, transport, and palletizer systems. - Conduct quality checks on incoming materials and finished products, identifying and reporting any defects or issues. - Assist forklift drivers with loading and unloading materials, and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment. - Identify and report any equipment or product issues to the production, maintenance, and warehouse teams. - Maintain accurate records and logs, and perform administrative tasks as required. - Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues and maintain optimal production levels. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. - Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a packaging or production role. - Strong understanding of production processes and equipment. - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. - Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment. - Manual dexterity and ability to work with hands. - Ability to work extended hours, including night shifts and overtime as required. - Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with production equipment, including mechanical and programmable controls. - Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality control procedures. - Experience with data entry and record-keeping. - Basic computer skills and ability to navigate software applications. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
