Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Representative on our 2nd shift (remote) team, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and tracking all active shipments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate status updates (typically 1pm to 10pm WFH after training)
  • Booking/Posting next day freight and any recoveries needed
  • Ensuring to keep up with Customer distro communications
  • Serving as the main point of contact for carriers, drivers, and customers during after-hours operations
  • Proactively identifying and resolving any issues or delays in transit, escalating as needed
  • Updating internal systems with accurate, real-time shipment details and status changes for our customers
  • Communicating professionally with customers to provide timely updates and solutions
  • Collaborating with the day operations team to ensure a seamless transition and accurate handoff of information
  • Maintaining accurate records of all communication, updates, and issue resolutions
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is a plus, but we will train you regardless
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a demanding environment
  • Requires perfect attendance due to great dependence on this role
  • Ability to learn industry-specific software
  • Able to work after-hours and adapt to changing priorities
