- Start Date: October/November 2024
- Location: Work from home
- Scheduling: A minimum of 10 hours per week from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am ET - 11:00 pm ET
- Students: You will teach adult students (private and or group classes) that are based predominantly in the US, Brazil, and Latin America
- Remuneration: Set base rate from 5.5 - 5.9 USD per hour
- You will be contracted by The Really Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider Requirements
- Native Spanish speaker
- Bilingual (Spanish and must be able to speak conversational English B1 level)
- Minimum of 1-year experience teaching Spanish as a second language
- DELE/ ELE (Diploma/Certificado de Español como Lengua Extranjera / Diploma/Certificate of Spanish as a Foreign Language) completed / or a degree in Linguistics, Education, Spanish, Modern Languages or Literatures completed or in progress at an accredited institution of higher education
- Online experience preferred
- Highly computer literate
- High degree of professionalism
- Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- No criminal record TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- PC specifications
- Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.0GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
- Backup power
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.
- A stable fibre internet connection
- At a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
- Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera. Back-up headset is highly recommended
