Job Overview

As a Level 1 Agent, your role will be to efficiently and empathetically answer patient phone calls and, when necessary, relay accurate messages to healthcare providers. You will be an integral part of ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff while maintaining our commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and compassionate service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Answering patient calls promptly and relay messages accurately and efficiently
  • Demonstrating core values such as professionalism, empathy, and respect with every interaction
  • Maintaining HIPAA compliance and following cybersecurity protocols to safeguard patient and company information
  • Collaborating with your team and management to create a positive work environment and culture
  • Utilizing our call center software to manage high call volumes and ensure all messages are delivered quickly and accurately
  • Helping improve customer satisfaction by meeting performance metrics and exceeding customer expectations

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

* Strong communication and active listening skills

  • Medical terminology knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work one summer holiday and one winter holiday
  • Ability to multitask
  • Basic computer skills and troubleshooting knowledge
  • Experience in customer service, with a proven ability to handle high call volumes
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols while adapting to frequent protocol changes
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm, empathetic, and emotionally stable during stressful situations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations/compliance or willingness to learn and strictly adhere to them
  • A positive, optimistic attitude and a desire to grow with the company
  • Punctuality and adherence to the company's attendance policies is essential
