Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Technician I, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and screening digital documents from blithequark divisions and external partners.
• Scanning/uploading files, manually entering data, and performing accuracy checks.
• Creating and updating taxpayer accounts via registration and maintenance systems.
• Reviewing documentation for use tax liability, tax exemptions, or missing information.
• Generating and sending system-produced correspondence (emails or letters).
• Communicating with taxpayers via phone or email to resolve billing or compliance issues.
• Maintaining virtual record folders and adhering to secure data storage procedures.
• Using authorized systems to verify account accuracy and completeness.
• Assisting with onboarding and guiding new remote team members.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

• A high school diploma or GED; some college coursework in accounting, business, or finance is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and web-based data systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced remote settings.
