Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a vital member of our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention team, you will play a critical role in providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress. Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to individuals in crisis, utilizing your expertise to identify potential risks and develop effective support plans.
• Respond to crisis contacts via our chat/text platform, assessing for suicide, safety, and identifying appropriate community resources to meet individual needs.
• Conduct follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide, ensuring their safety and well-being while providing ongoing support and guidance.
• Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in crisis intervention and mental health support.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our team and ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, or be a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. While prior experience is not essential, we prefer candidates with at least six months to one year of related crisis experience. You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and exhibit high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have a strong knowledge of suicide assessments and crisis intervention, as well as experience providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and community resources.
