Role Overview

As an Experienced Customer Retention Representative, you will be responsible for conserving business on behalf of blithequark. You will be a vital part of a dedicated, professional team that plays a key role in ensuring that customers who call in with the intention of canceling are provided assistance in understanding the importance of keeping their coverage, as well as providing policy maintenance. This is a remote work from home position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and enjoy a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls with customers who are calling to cancel their insurance coverage and/or place calls to current policyholders regarding coverage, premium due, as well as other policy information.

  • Answer questions about policy benefits and premiums and accurately document the information on the appropriate database.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Meet or exceed sales and retention targets, while also maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and underwriting, to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to provide accurate and informed responses to customer inquiries.

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Superior customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and resolving complex issues.
  • Proficient use of computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, with a focus on meeting sales and retention targets.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze information and make logical conclusions.
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute, with a pre-employment assessment required.

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in customer retention or sales, preferably in the insurance industry.

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Certification in customer service, sales, or a related field.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
