Job Overview

As a Customer Support Loader at blithequark, you will be responsible for offering expert advice and recommendations to customers, engaging with them in a helpful and polite manner, and providing guidance and solutions to any issues they may have. Your duties will also include obtaining, transporting, and re-stocking merchandise, as well as providing safe and dependable assistance in moving merchandise for all parties. This role requires frequent lifting and moving of goods, necessitating safety precautions and a strong commitment to ensuring the well-being of our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offering advice and recommendations to customers who require guidance in making their purchase decisions
  • Engaging with customers in a helpful and polite manner, providing guidance and solving issues they may have
  • Obtaining, transporting, and re-stocking merchandise
  • Providing Safe and Dependable Assistance in Moving Merchandise for All Parties
  • Aiding customers in loading their merchandise into their cars and restocking shelves for upcoming shoppers

Travel Requirements

Although travel is not a regular aspect of this role, there may be times where travel is required for attending meetings, trainings, or to offer assistance to nearby stores. Employment Status and Scheduling

We offer both full-time and part-time employment opportunities, with schedules determined by the number of hours an employee is expected to work. Full-time schedules generally entail 39 to 40 hours per week, while part-time schedules require up to 25 hours per week. However, additional hours may be necessary based on the store's operational requirements. We seek individuals who can commit to being available in the morning, afternoon, or evening, any day of the week, and who are able to engage in job duties that may require extended periods of standing, sitting, or other requisite physical activities.

Physical Requirements

The fundamental prerequisite for this role is the capability to lift 25 pounds unassisted, but it is feasible to hoist more than that with or without aid. We are committed to ensuring that our employees have the necessary training and equipment to perform their duties safely and efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and are able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. The following qualifications and skills are required:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to use a computer, predominantly in executing data-related assignments such as data inputting, modifying, accessing, and outputting
  • Experience using widely-used retail technology equipment such as smartphones and tablets
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in the retail sector
  • Experience working in a home improvement or hardware retailer
  • Experience working in any department at a blithequark retail store
  • Experience in retail merchandising, including Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping
  • Proficiency in inspecting, relocating, loading, and discharging materials or goods from transportation modes
